Rynell Parnell enters his first season as an assistant defensive line coach with the Baldwin Wallace University football team in 2017.
Parnell returns to his alma mater after earning a Master's degree in sports and recreation management from Kent State University in May of 2017. He also served as an intern on the Golden Flashes football staff where he worked primarily with the defensive line.
While at BW, Parnell played two seasons of football but an injury cut short his collegiate career. He continued to contribute to the Yellow Jacket program as a student assistant coach with the both the varsity and junior varsity defense for the next three seasons.
Parnell, a native of Akron, Ohio, graduated Akron Archbishop Hoban High School. He was a member of the Knights football team.
