Mike Kelly

Mike Kelly '80 returns to the Yellow Jacket football coaching staff in 2016. It is his second stint at his alma mater. Overall, Kelly enters his 20th season on the staff. He will coach the tight ends.

Coach Kelly is one of the senior members of the staff along with Mike Smith.

Prior to taking over as tight ends coach, Coach Kelly assisted BW Hall of Fame Coach Dave Demmerle with the offensive line for many years.

A 1980 graduate of the University with a degree in health and physical education, he was a two-year starter and three-year letterman as an offensive guard. Kelly was a key member of the Yellow Jackets' 1978 NCAA Division III National Championship team.

He is currently retired having previously taught and coached in the Avon School District. Coach Kelly also coached at North Olmsted High School for six years for former BW wideout and now Eagle Athletic Director Mike Ptacek.
